Your essay reminds how cool it is to live where you can see the ebb and flow of tides, the water hiding then revealing constantly, letting you see the landscape anew. Kind of like your writing. Nice one, and it reminds me that my favorite place is not dissimilar: it’s a place called Deception Pass. I may have to write about it sometime.

Such a beautiful post, Bryn - words and pictures alike. Wonderful! The landscape reminds me a little of the Jurassic coast in south-west UK - slices of layer cake served diagonally on the plate.

Happy bittersweet graduation time! I myself am looking forward to getting out to the ocean on the long weekend - Northumberland Strait, though this is also lovely and I think going on the list of places to wander.
