I love the blanket, and the black-out poetry is wonderful (and beautifully illustrated!). On the mixed media art journalling courses I did we used this technique a few times for projects, and I really enjoyed it - you've inspired me to have a play with it again!
Mark's notebook is a third full already? Great job, but wow, you've put me to shame...!
It SO isn't filled with that, Bryn! 🤣 You'll see, I'm sure! I love what you're doing - it's such a great idea.
I'd been working on a draft for my forthcoming Saturday post for a couple of days - and the first three pages were filled with all the words I needed to waste in order to find some that I wanted to keep! Those pages contained an all-round-the-houses exploration of the thing that had got me started on the idea of what I wanted to ACTUALLY write about, but I had to explore the thing first, knowing that the thing was a nothing, in order to get it OUT OF THE WAY...!
Am I crazy? Or is this normal behaviour? I'd love to know! 😉
I love the blanket! If I had one it would be mostly red for the temperatures this summer 🔥 I love the idea of writing a book of poetry. It’s something I’ve always considered doing, just for fun. Poetry says so much that prose tends to obstruct .
Happy summer, Alison! You’re pushing me to buy books so it all balances out 😂 Honestly, though, it’s a beautiful notebook and I had to tell myself not to make it “precious” and be okay with imperfect.
Bryn! Your creativity is glorious! 🙌

🥹 Thanks so much!! I’d love to see your poetry and accompanying illustrations (no pressure of course!)
And like I said, Rebecca, that book is likely filled mostly with💩 so no worries 😂 Just a start.

😂 Normal to me. Or we’re both mad. Either way I’m in good company 😘
🤣🙌😁
I like it!
Thanks Mark!
Thanks for the restack, Lonely Robot! 🤖🩵

Thanks Camille! I think you should, it would be lovely to read, I bet. 🥰
Happy summer, Bryn! Loving the blanket, and yes, had you done it for precipitation...yeesh. The last month would have been something.
I’ve not put anything in my notebook from Mark already but you’re pushing me to start the project I want to put in there!

I’m definitely a work in progress when comes to not making notebooks precious.
Can’t wait to see your summer reads!
