I was in my pjs and couldn’t be arsed to put my contacts in at 4AM for the royal wedding, so I squinted at the screen for a few hours. Your nan was some kind of superhero!
She was so excited, I’m sure she hadn’t slept a wink, so she was probably up all night 😂 Being an older child hiding in bomb shelters in her London suburb, and seeing a young princess similar in age manage the war, I think the pride of the monarchy was deeply ingrained in her identity and memories of home 💕
I loved all the photos! (Are you a twin too?)
Thanks James 💕 I’m not a twin, except with photos of her as a young woman.
I asked because in the photo you and your sister are dressed the same. 😊
Naw, just the remnants of the old Sears portrait days 🤣 she’s two years younger than me.

Bryn, I LOVED this story about your Nan!! And you are right - WHO looks like that at 4 AM!!
Thanks Linda 💕 She was beside herself with excitement, she was just glowing! Only she could look like that - note I didn’t post any photos of me 😂
Bryn, how wonderful to have those memories…and keeping them alive! And, to have the photos to go with them!❤️
I loved this post the first time around, and I love it even more now. The pictures are wonderful!
😘🥰
