So true, Bryn. I find myself grateful to feel ready for fall this year. Not “where did the time go?” But , thanks summer. Everything that happened in summer feels complete. Time for fall. In all of its brief beauty.
Beautiful way of positioning it, Camille. Things can have an end, and I think we’re healthier for acknowledging it. Helps us appreciate what’s in front of us that much more.
People often say that they would love to live where "its summer all the time" but imagine a "fall" world. Sunny, but temperate days, and crisp nights, just above frost temps. Put me there!
Beautiful photo of the goldeneye! Great greeting to the new old season.
Thanks Mark! I find it fascinating to see which birds consider Canada the warmer place for the winter; the goldeneye, though, hangs around all year.
The change to Fall is over of my favorite times of year.

We know how it ends, but we love it just the same. I’m eager with anticipation for the colours. There is no better time for walks outdoors than fall!
I love the fall hikes, campfires, etc. so much. You have beautiful walks up your way!

Yes please! Just-warm enough days, cool nights. More reasons to cosy up and read 🤓
