Yes! I'm a sucker for any sort of behind-the-scenes tour, so I especially loved the details on their website about the the process (fascinating! laborious!) they went through to create it.
Oh Bryn, that poem and that video, paired together, what a demonstration of the beauty and mystery of biology! We are in the midst of reading Bill Bryson’s “The Body,” which might be a bit elementary for you but is a fascinating view into the way all the different systems in the body work. The brain, though … wow, what can you even say?
Thank you, Tom! Honestly, I don’t know why my brain went back to that memory, and thus the anecdote and poem, but isn’t that what makes the brain that much more a mystery? I haven’t heard about that particular Bryson book (the travel author?), but it’s added to the “to-read” pile 🧠🩷
When you asked “the travel author” I honestly didn’t know! Sara and I decided we’d read 5 books this year related to science and this has been the best so far—he’s just an incredibly engaging writer. For someone with your interests, he might be worth a look. And I also learned that he has written some travel books that I’ll likely check out.
😃🧠🩷 Thanks so much, Rebecca! So strange my mind conjured up that memory - no reason, really - but I guess there’s a reason somewhere hiding in those brain folds 😅
Anything MRI always catches my attention (it's what I do every day), so I appreciated your thoughts on the sounds. I've been a patient and a volunteer and I love it in there.
What an amazing piece, Bryn! Thank you!
Thank you 🫶🏻 I figured this one might strike a chord in your neuro heart 🧠
Absolutely beautiful, Bryn. And those brain images! Yours, the Self-Reflected piece--wow. Thank you!
Thank you, Lisa! 😃 I was stunned by that gold shimmery brain - the more I read, the more I was floored. 🧠💛

Gorgeous!
And there is not enough money in the world to make me go to medical school. Nope.
Aw. Thank you, Alison 🧠🩷 (And 100% a big N O P E)
Appreciative for those that journey in the grey realm!
Thank you, Ron 🧠🩷😊

Thanks, James, for sharing your thoughts 🩷 It was a bit freaky at first but once I got used to the noises, it was strangely soothing. 😅
